All eighth grade students are mandated by the State Department of Education to develop an Individual Graduation Plan with a parent and with their Guidance Counselors. Parents are asked to call to schedule an appointment with Ms. Broughton or Ms.Tolley.
 
Any eighth grade student who is interested in applying for the School of the Arts for the 2010-2011 school year may download the application from the school's website or stop by the Guidance Office.
 
The Guidance Counselor from Garrett Academy of Technology will register all eighth grade Zucker students who have received letters of acceptance for the 2010-2011 school year on Monday, February 22nd. These students are asked to meet in the Media Center immediately after lunch.
Garrett Academy is still accepting applications for next year in certain technologies. Please call or visit your Guidance Counselors for information.
 
 
 
 

ATTENTION 8TH GRADE STUDENTS AND PARENTS,
 
Roper St. Francis Healthcare will be holding their fourth annual "SCRUBS" Health Career Exploration Camp this summer. You must be 13, 14 or 15 years old to apply to attend this camp.
 
If students are interested in exploring health care careers this summer, information about and applications for the camp are available in the Guidance Office. The deadline for applications is April 1, 2010.
 
Guidance also has information on the SCRUBS"U" program, also sponsored by Roper St. Francis Healthcare. The March 25 meeting is scheduled for 5 -7pm and will focus on a career in Pharmacy. It will be held at Bon Secours St. Francis Hospital. To register, please call 402-2273.
