Jerry Zucker Middle School's mentor program is off to another great start this school year thanks
to the many volunteers from the Charleston Air Force and Naval Bases. These men and women are excellent role
models for our students and help them in many ways. Each mentor visits his or her student once a week during the student’s non-academic class. The mentors provide support and encouragement. According to the program's coordinator,
Mr. James Brooks, 7th grade guidance counselor, "my goal is to pair each and
every one of our students with one of these wonderful mentors." Parents are
invited to call Mr. Brooks at 207-3078 if they have any questions or would like
more information about the school's mentor program. Photos of some of the students and their mentors are included in the Photo Gallery at left.
