Dear Parents, Guardians and Community members,

I would like to welcome you to Zucker Middle School of Science; a school where we truly believe in our motto: “Every student, every day, no exceptions, no excuses.” It is a pleasure to introduce myself as interim principal. This is my first year at ZMS and I am very excited to serve you, our scholars, the faculty, and the greater community of North Charleston.

As we bring all staff and students back to school in person, our focus will be to support the scholars of ZMS to get them on track towards becoming college and career ready.  The implementation of plans to address not only academic growth, but also our scholars’ social-emotional well-being during this time will be prioritized and monitored.

We are inviting you to become an active member of your scholar’s middle school experience. We have numerous opportunities for you to volunteer at ZMS this year. Please consider joining our PTO and participating in that organization. We will also have many opportunities for you to volunteer in our school as we work together to serve our children. If you are interested, I urge you to complete the District Volunteer Application.

Our website is an important communication platform for us as a school community. You can find information related to contacting your scholar’s teachers, requesting bus information, our school and district calendar, special events, and multiple other pieces of information.
