Stingrays Visit - March 8, 2017

Two players from the South Carolina Stingrays Hockey Team (goalie Steven Summeryhays and defenseman Joey Leach) visited Zucker on March 8th. They were accompanied by Mackenzie Farmery, Stingrays Community Relations Manager.  The players visited several classrooms and spoke with students about their experiences on and off the skating rink.  Students had the opportunity to ask questions, have their picture taken with the players and get both players' autographs.  The visit by the players was part of the South Carolina Stingrays' community outreach efforts. The Stingrays organization sponsors a Hat Trick for Reading program which gives students in grades K-8 an opportunity to earn a free ticket to a Stingrays game by reading.  For more photos, see the Photo Gallery.
