Ms. Denise Alvarez

I enjoy dancing!  When the dancers focus on the choreography and hit each musical beat, my emotions soar. We move in unison. Likewise, I want my students to move in unison as we move towards graduation. I have a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education, a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics Education. I have worked at Zucker Middle School for over 5 years.

My classroom vision is:

Develop positive attitudes and relationships with each other
Advance to high school, college, and be ready to work
Never give up
Create a process to solve mathematical problems using a graph, model, table, or an equation
Enhance your problem-solving skills and mathematical vocabulary
